About the Maltese and Maltipoo
Maltese are usually a small breed ranging from 4 to 12 pounds and stand about 7 to 8 inches tall. They require minimal exercise, making them great pets for apartments and smaller homes. They are very playful, lively and pretty responsive. BK Kennels maltese puppies have a great demeanor with other pets and children. They do, however require regular grooming. Their coats are white and long. They are light shedders, and although they are not hypoallergenic, they are suitable for allergy sufferers. The hair around their eyes should be cleaned daily to prevent tear staining. The maltese has a life span of 12 to 15 years. Our Little Pixie, has the sweetest temperament and loves to be playing with her toys.
Maltipoos are the best of both worlds. They can have the characteristics of both the Maltese breed and the Mini poodle breed. These can vary as far as coat color, attitude and temperament. However, we’ve been told some of the sweetest maltipoo puppies come from BK Kennels. Of course we would have to agree. 😊
